1st WOUNDED WARRIOR MONUMENT IN OHIO UNVEILED ON ARMED FORCES DAY
May 18, 2013 Medina, Ohio – There are many men and women that have served our country and have given their all and it is our turn to support them and the military veterans that have been wounded and are in need of help. On Saturday, May 18th, 2013, the community came together for a special event hosted by Medina VFW Post 5137, at 3916 Pearl Rd, Medina Ohio. Part of the activities included a Poker Run for motorcycles and a Swap Meet and was free and open to the public. PowerSport Institute is proud to be a sponsor of this annual event.
The day’s highlight this year was the unveiling of the 1st Wounded Warrior Monument in the state of Ohio. This Monument was hand crafted out of black granite from Africa and is now located in its final resting place at Medina VFW 5137. During the unveiling PSI Senior Admissions Representative Mike Huff, who is himself an Army Veteran and also the father of two current active duty servicemen, participated in the ceremony by playing taps in his capacity as the official bugler.
PSI is honored to have Mike as an important part of our team. It is our honor to recognize all veterans on Armed Force Day and especially those Wounded Warriors who this memorial will honor for years to come.
A moving ceremony and a great event that everyone at PSI is proud to be part of.
