Syracuse, N.Y. – April 25 & 26, 2012 – Late last month, a great organization called SkillsUSA had a very cool event in Syracuse, N.Y. where PSI top instructors Andy Parks and Brian Vincent made the trip to support the event and students in the Power Sports segment of the conference.

Brian Vincent comments saying, “We were asked to go help with the set-up and the judging for the motorcycle technology station presented by PSI. So we took a trailor full of tools, bikes and equipment and headed to Syracuse, N.Y.

There were 11 students competing in this category and we had 11 work stations set up where they would be judged on their performance during a 15 minute time limit test at each station.

They were judged on everything from measuring to electrical to following instructions. At the end of it all the scores are tallied up and the winners would be announced at a later date.

A recruiter for PSI in the area was present and he said that 7 of the 11 students in the competition were already enrolled at PSI.

It was a fun experience and is a great promotion tool for the industry and our school. I look forward to being a part of this again in the future.

North Randall, Ohio – April 20, 2012 - Today was the annual Spring Open House for both PowerSport Institute (A branch campus of Ohio Technical College), and Ohio Technical College. Both events taking place simultaneously and yield similar results. That being they were both deemed a “HUGE SUCCESS” by owner Marc Brenner and PSI Campus Director Bernie Thompson.

At PSI there was a great turn out of both parents and potential students checking out the state of the art facility and meeting the industry professionals that will be their teachers and mentors in the near future.

Working their way from one brand / class area to another, the crowd showed a lot of enthusiasm to the prospect of attending PSI.


The all new Matco Tool Store had several visitors and was a real crowd pleaser. To a person who is a technician or wants to be, this area is like a candy store.
